The Mysterious Visitors is the tenth episode of Season 2 and the twenty-third episode overall.
Plot synopsis[]
Hawkbit, Fiver, Pipkin and Dandelion raid the farm and to Hazel's surprise bring two other rabbits, Bluesky and Raincloud, back to the down instead of food. Both say they are messengers from Prince Rainbow. Hazel catches on straight away that it's all a scam, but he keeps it quiet. The two demanding rabbits tell Pipkin they can fly, which leads to a lot of trouble.
Plot[]
Bluesky and Raincloud watch some of the Watership Down rabbits at the farm escaping the dog which Bluesky woke up.
He and Raincloud appear to them later on and they both lie to the Watership Down rabbits that they are messengers of Prince Rainbow. The two are escorted to Watership Down and are allowed to eat the group's food, claiming they need rest after they flew down from the sky.
Bigwig realizes all they have done is sleep and eat their food, so he orders them to tell Prince Rainbow's message or they must leave. The two rabbits claim Prince Rainbow is proud of the warren, and that Hazel and Bigwig are the new El-ahrairah and Rabscuttle. Although Hazel mentions Bluesky and Raincloud may leave now that the message is delivered, the two keep up the act by claiming Prince Rainbow has asked them to keep an eye on them to ensure Hazel and Bigwig deserve their roles.
The vegabonds later cause trouble by telling Pipkin he can fly. Pipkin almost tries jumping off a high cliff, and this causes Bluesky to reveal their guise. Pipkin is nearly killed by a stoat, but is saved by jumping on a pile of leaves and heather Hazel and the others have gathered.
After, Raincloud and Bluesky decide to no longer tell fibs. Hazel invites them to join Watership Down Warren but they decline as they are vagabonds and roam around. The vegabonds mention they will probably visit Efrafa. After they leave to journey to another warren, Bigwig and Hazel mock him because he said that they can be the next Rabscuttle and El-Ahrairah, and Bigwig also says that they'll probably find Efrafa and annoy them.
