TWWred

Red is a recurring but minor character of the TV series. He is a red colored Efrafan buck who worked for General Woundwort. His partners are Vervain, Campion, Moss, Gorse, Thistle and presumably Shale, as presumed by fans who believe that the greyish blueish Efrafan appearing in seasons 1 and 2 is a prototype version of Shale.

Personality[]

Red is a silent and loyal buck, despite being silent, some of his personality can be shown. He is shown to respect Vervain, Campion and any other captain of a mark.

TV series[]

Season one[]

Strawberry Fayre[]

He is seen on Campion and Vervain's wide patrol. Later, Red is seen chasing Hawkbit over a fence but he trips before he can get the latter.

The Challenge to Efrafa[]

Red is seen during Blackavar's trail and is among the rabbits who cower after Kehaar attacks them.

Escape from Efrafa[]

When Vervain asks him if there's any sign of Kehaar he says no.

Friend and Enemy[]

He joins Vervain, Campion and Moss on searching for flay-rah from a Greenhouse before a hawk strikes.

Season two[]

The Stand[]

When two slaves try to escape, the dark white one drops some rocks down to Efrafa and when Red notices the twins escaping he screams a warning. It is not mentioned if they're caught or managed to escape. When he explores Cowslip's warren he wanders into a bush and screams "CAAH", meaning he most probably got caught in a snare, however, he ends up surviving.

The Great Game[]

He is seen with Moss stopping Vervain from attacking Campion.

The Homecoming[]

Red at the rock trap

He follows Woundwort and his Owsla for the final battle. He is hit by a wave of water after Hazel and Fiver remove a stick which was keeping a rock trap staple, sending he and the other Efrafans (Minus Campion,) flying out of the caverns before they all go back in to attack once more.

He is seen fighting multiple Watership Down warren members.

Season three[]

The Last Battle[]

He is seen in the first episode of season 3 where he is seen trying to escape the collapsing caverns and later trying to get the water off of himself. Later he is left homeless after the battle of Efrafa and is never shown after that, leaving his fate unknown.
