An owl appears in the prologue of the film when El-ahrairah is running through the woods.
While resting in a cemetery, Bigwig gets bit by a rat and starts to make quick movements, causing them to wake the cemetery owl up. After a while of running Hazel and his group manage to escape.

Home on the Down[]
Captain Holly is seen running from an owl at the start of the episode while trying to find Hazel, Bigwig, Fiver and everyone else who had escaped Sandleford, he manages to escape by hiding under a tree.
The Stand[]
Hazel gets stuck under a bush after an owl comes. Kehaar noticed this and scares the owl off.

An owl can be heard hooting while Holly, Bluebell and Blackberry try to find a place to rest for the night on their way to Efrafa.
The Escape[]
Hazel, Fiver, Hawkbit, Blackberry and a few others wait outside Efrafa for Bigwig and the escaping does, when an owl flies by, they believe it to be Kehaar but realize a moment after it wasn't.
