Lucy (presumably Lucy Cane) is a young girl living on Nuthanger Farm. She has four rabbits, Clover, Haystack, Boxwood, and Laurel. In the novel, she gets Laurel back, but the others escape with Hazel in the raid. In the film, she gets Clover and the hutch rabbits back. In the miniseries, she gets both Boxwood and Laurel back.

Tab pinning down Hazel
Towards the end of the story, she finds one of the farm cats, Tab, pinning Hazel down and decides to save him and bring him to her home. Later, she and a doctor who comes to visit Lucy's sickly mother drive over near the Watership Down warren and leave Hazel to find his way home.
Film[]
When Nuthanger Farm first appears, Tab is seen chasing Pipkin and Hazel. When Hazel knocks over something Lucy notices it and yells at Tab to leave them alone and calls Tab a "cruel thing". Later at the last moments of the movie, Tab pins down Hazel, she yells at him and he lets Hazel go. Hazel presumably ran back to the down instead of Lucy taking him in.
Miniseries[]
In the miniseries, she was seen to leave Fiver to find his way home. Fiver reunited with his brother Hazel and the other rabbits and told them that Lucy saved him from the farm cat.
