A hrududu in the film
Hrududu is the Lapine term for anything with an engine or motor. This includes everything from cars on a road to farm tractors. The word "Hrududu" comes from the sound that the motor makes. In plural they are referred to as Hrududil.

A hrududu first appears when Hazel and his hlessi have to cross a road. Another appearance of a hrududu was when it was used to bring Hazel back to the Down after Lucy saved him.
