Hawock is a pheasant introduced in “The Story of the Trial of El-ahrairah” in Watership Down. El-ahrairah used Hawock to trick Prince Rainbow into thinking that Hufsa was insane. Hawock was the one who started to swim for Rabscuttle for some corn. He told Hufsa that it helped his tail feathers grow longer.
