Gorse is a Wide Patrol rabbit of the Efrafa that appeared in TV series.

Gorse went on a Wide Patrol with his fellow rabbits Thistle, Vervain and Campion, but when they ran into Bigwig and were about to fight him they were attacked by a fox and Bigwig escaped. Afterwards Gorse and Thistle made cameos in the other episodes. They must be still alive and still take charge of Efrafa, though in "The Challenge to Efrafa", Gorse and Thistle do not speak. However, Gorse can briefly be seen saying "Yes my Chief", when General Woundwort asked if they won in the battle in the cavern, and in "Lost" Vervain told Gorse to move slowly.
In "The Stand" Thistle gasped and thought he heard or saw someone; he looked over but Hazel and Kehaar ducked and Thistle ran off. In "The Homecoming" Gorse and Thistle got hit by a waterfall while pursuing Hazel and Fiver. However, he and Thistle can be seen in the first episode of season 3, although Gorse's colour has changed from green to grey just like Thistle's.
