Woundwort being friendly towards Pipkin.
In the adaptations before the TV series, Pipkin appears to be afraid of General Woundwort, but in the TV series Pipkin doesn't fear or hate the General. Woundwort originally kidnapped Pipkin to learn of the location of Watership Down Warren, but after Pipkin says that his parents were killed by a weasel, Woundwort starts to like the buck and suggests he could become a captain of his Owslafa like Captain Campion and Captain Vervain when he's older.
It's possible in the third season of the TV series, Woundwort who already hates the other members of Watership Down Warren, ended up also hating Pipkin too for what Hazel did.

In Prisoner of Efrafa, when Vervain threatens to teach Pipkin 'some manners', Woundwort tells Vervain that maybe he'd like some lessons in manners and not Pipkin. General Woundwort pretends to be friendly towards Pipkin at first but ends up becoming a genuine friend to the younger buck, going as far as to explaining his backstory of how a weasel had killed his mother when Pipkin reveals that a weasel had gotten his parents. Later, Woundwort suggests Pipkin becomes a captain of his Owslafa. When Vervain tells Woundwort he'd like the honor of killing Pipkin, Woundwort tells Vervain that killing Pipkin would be like killing a part of himself. When Bigwig is about to kill Woundwort, Pipkin stops him. Before leaving, Pipkin tells Woundwort that war isn't the answer, but he tells Pipkin that it's the only way he knows.
Season 3[]
In The Magic, Snowdrop asks Pipkin why General Woundwort hates Watership Down Warren so much, Pipkin tells the kit that he believes something hurt Woundwort in his past which made him hate the world.
